The Blue Star Salute Foundation partners with the Alabama Governor's Office to present the families a Governor's Certificate of Memory, a Commendation of Military Service, and an Alabama Flag which has been flown over the Capitol in honor of the Fallen.

The memorial service for Jeffery Wayne Buchanan was held on November 6, 2020 at 2:45pm at the Alabama National Cemetery. Buchanan was a Helicopter Pilot who was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from March 20, 2003 to August 1, 2003 and died of a PTSD-related illness earlier this year and is the most recent addition to Blue Star‘s Faces of the Price of Freedom Memorial.
The Blue Star Salute Foundation was represented by Tom and Dee Long, Chris and Lisa Melton, and Harry Sessamen. All five members also participated with the Patriot Guard Riders in the motorcade and the flag line.
