Blue Star Salute Foundation’s mission has been “to honor our military, our veterans, and our fallen heroes”. Our efforts to promote and support the 250th Birthday Celebration of the United States will continue this mission and be focused on the patriots who fought to establish and maintain our newly formed democracy. Outlined below are events and points of interest, as well as links to resources on the American Revolution. We will be updating this page as plans are finalized and published.
Northern Regional Events and Destinations
Battle of Lexington (April 19, 1775) Paul Revere sounded the alarm, and colonial militiamen began intercepting the Redcoat column.
Battle of Concord (April 19, 1775) Militia successfully drive British back to Boston.
Siege of Boston (April 19, 1775 – March 17, 1776) Successful siege by American troops of the British-held city of Boston.
Battle of Bunker Hill (June 17, 1775) Tactical victory for the British, but they sustained twice the number of casualties.
10/2025 250th Anniversary of the US Navy - An unprecedented display of Navy history, gathering on the Delaware River ships representing every major war which the Navy has fought, from the American Revolution to the Navy of today.

Battle of Ticonderoga (May 10, 1775) Won by Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys, together with Benedict Arnold.
(Jul 2 - 6, 1777) Americans evacuated Fort Ticonderoga with the British guard nipping at their heels.
Battle of Long Island (March 17, 1776) Washington evacuated the army to Manhattan without the loss of supplies or a single life.
2027 Battles of Saratoga (Sep 19, 1777 – Oct 17, 1777) The American defeat lifted morale and sealed the alliance with France.
Valley Forge (Sep 18, 1777) LTC Alexander Hamilton and CPT Henry “Light Horse Harry” Lee defended a raid on the encampment.
Battle of Trenton (Dec 26, 1776) Washington’s victory boosted the morale of the American troops.

Siege of Charleston (Mar 29, 1780 – May 12, 1780) The siege of Charleston was a major engagement and major British victory.
Battle of Camden (Aug 16, 1780) Major victory for the British in the Southern theater
The Battle of King's Mountain (Oct 7, 1780) American militia under COL William Campbell defeat MAJ Patrick Ferguson.
The Battle of Cowpens (Jan 17, 1781) American troops under BG Daniel Morgan routed British forces under LTC Banastre Tarleton.
Virginia
Battle of Yorktown (Sep 28, 1781 – Oct 19, 1781) General Washington defeats Cornwallis in the last battle of the Revolutionary War.
